About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Platform Engineer with deep expertise in designing and implementing production-ready GCP Landing Zones. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and a solid understanding of GCP security, networking, and organizational setup best practices. You will play a critical role in building the foundational cloud infrastructure that supports scalable, secure, and compliant environments for our teams and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and implement GCP Landing Zones tailored for production workloads with security, compliance, and scalability in mind.
  • Use Terraform to codify infrastructure, enforce configuration consistency, and manage state across environments.
  • Set up GCP Organization, folders, projects, service accounts, IAM policies, billing configurations, and shared VPCs.
  • Implement guardrails, policies, and automation using tools such as Terraform Cloud, GCP Config Validator, and Policy Library.
  • Work with networking and security teams to configure firewalls, subnets, NATs, VPNs, and private service access.
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to enable DevSecOps and cloud-native practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, policies, and deployment processes.
  • Monitor and optimize cost, performance, and security posture of the GCP environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 48 years of experience in cloud engineering with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proven experience in setting up enterprise-grade Landing Zones in GCP.
  • Expertise in Terraform, including module creation, state management, and collaboration workflows.
  • Solid knowledge of GCP IAM, VPC design, Shared VPC, Security Command Center, Cloud Logging, Monitoring, and Service Controls.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for IaC deployments.
  • Understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GCP Professional Cloud Architect or GCP DevOps Engineer certification.
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud environments or hybrid cloud setups.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes (GKE) and Anthos is a plus.
  • Experience with GitOps workflows and tools like ArgoCD or Flux.Role & responsibilities
