Hiring for Senior Java Backend Developer (Lead)

Location: Mumbai

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Developer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will lead backend development efforts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive high-quality and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead backend development initiatives, designing and implementing scalable solutions for enterprise systems.

Architect and develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices patterns.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define APIs and integration strategies.

Ensure high-performance, low-latency applications with high availability and scalability.

Take ownership of key technical decisions and provide leadership to the development team.

Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, multi-threading, and concurrency for system optimization.

Mentor and guide junior developers, conducting code reviews and providing technical support.

Improve development processes, ensuring adherence to best practices in design, coding, and testing.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex backend issues.

Ensure seamless integration with front-end systems and third-party services.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate best practices.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in Java (JDK 8 or higher), with deep knowledge of core Java concepts (collections, generics, exception handling, etc.).

Extensive experience in Spring Boot and Spring Framework for backend application development.

Proven expertise in Microservices architecture and developing RESTful APIs.

Strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and best practices.

Expertise in multi-threading, concurrency management, and performance optimization.

Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git, Jenkins, etc.).

Experience with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Scrum teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 7+ years of experience in Java backend development with a focus on server-side applications.

At least 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role, managing a team of developers.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis in complex environments.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and stakeholders.
