Job DescriptionJob Title: Assistant Manager HV & LV O&MDepartment: Operations & MaintenanceLocation: Site (Karnataka and Maharashtra)Reports To: Head O&M Band: Assistant ManagerJob Code: O&M/EL/HVLV/AM/2025Employment Type: On-Roll / Full TimeRole ObjectiveTo ensure safe, reliable, efficient operation and maintenance of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems across assigned renewable energy projects. The position focuses on operational reliability, grid compliance, team capability building continuous improvement of asset performance and safety standards.1. Operations & MaintenanceManage end-to-end O&M of HV/LV electrical assets substations, transformers, switchgear, control panels and transmission lines (11 kV / 33 kV / 66 kV and above).Plan and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities as per OEM and CEA standards.Ensure reliability of SCADA data, protection relays and grid interconnections.Lead troubleshooting, isolation and restoration during breakdowns to minimize downtime.Monitor health of auxiliary systems such as UPS, battery chargers, lighting and earthing systems.Safety & Statutory ComplianceImplement electrical safety systems PTW, LOTO, PPE and safe isolation practices.Ensure adherence to CEA Regulations, IE Rules and DISCOM/SLDC compliance requirements.Conduct safety audits, risk assessments and toolbox talks regularly.Liaise with inspectorates for statutory approvals and renewals.Performance Monitoring & ReportingMonitor plant performance and system parameters through SCADA and field checks.Analyze tripping events, downtime and energy loss to identify corrective measures.Prepare MIS reports (daily/weekly/monthly) and maintain O&M documentation and test records.Support energy audit and asset condition assessment exercises.Team & Contractor ManagementSupervise site engineers, technicians and contractors to ensure quality and safety compliance.Verify contractor performance and adherence to work scope, quality and documentation standards.Plan manpower deployment, shift and ensure adequate technical coverage during critical activities.Support vendor evaluations and performance improvement actions.Knowledge Sharing & Capability DevelopmentMentor and train on-roll engineers, freshers, and technicians on HV/LV systems and safe work practices.Conduct structured training modules and on-the-job learning sessions.Encourage peer learning, cross-functional exposure and continuous skill enhancement.Maintain a knowledge repository of SOPs, RCA learnings and maintenance best practices.Asset Reliability & Continuous ImprovementIdentify improvement areas for reliability enhancement and O&M cost optimization.Support digital initiatives like CMMS, condition monitoring and analytics-based maintenance planning.Contribute to annual maintenance budgeting, spares planning and inventory control.Implement lessons learned across plants for operational standardization.Key InterfacesInternal: Site O&M teams, HSE, SCM, Asset Management, Project Engineering.External: DISCOM/SLDC, OEMs, contractors, testing and inspection agencies.Educational QualificationDiploma / B.E. / B.
