Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Experience in mechanical design for complex systems, including robotics, automotive, or aerospace industries.
  • Knowledge of materials science and selecting appropriate materials for different mechanical applications.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, machining, additive manufacturing).
  • Ability to perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and finite element analysis (FEA).
  • Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Understanding of mechanical assembly, prototyping, and product lifecycle management (PLM).
  • Experience with simulation tools for motion, force, and thermal behavior analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of robotic systems or mechatronics is a plus.

  • 6 - 10 years of relevant experience

Role Description:

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and refining mechanical systems, products, or components. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including electronics, software, and manufacturing engineers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, along with the ability to analyze, test, and validate designs in real-world conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components based on specifications and requirements.
  • Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for parts, assemblies, and product designs.
  • Conduct simulations and analysis to evaluate the mechanical performance of designs (e.g., stress, vibration, thermal analysis).
  • Prototype and test mechanical designs to validate performance and make improvements as necessary.
  • Optimize designs for manufacturing, focusing on cost reduction, material selection, and manufacturability.
  • Provide technical support during product development and troubleshooting in the prototyping and manufacturing stages.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to design processes, specifications, and testing.

Qualifications

:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Certifications or additional training in CAD design or mechanical analysis (preferred).

Experience:

  • Proven experience in designing mechanical systems for complex products or systems, with a strong portfolio or examples of past projects.
  • Hands-on experience in prototyping, testing, and iterating mechanical designs.
  • Familiarity with robotics systems, automation, or product development in related industries is a plus.
  • Previous experience with manufacturing processes and working with suppliers or manufacturers to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
