Institute for Advanced Research in Science (IARSc), an autonomous institute founded in 2016, aims to conduct world-class research in basic and applied sciences with the involvement of scientists, engineers, academicians, researchers and educationists across the globe. The institute also aims to foster research and create opportunities to fill the gaps and for practical implementation of scientific innovations through collaborative and exchange programmes.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the Project Associate-II to work on a project.

Job Description:

The Project Associate is expected to primarily carry out research analysing satellite data from the state-of-art Earth Observing Satellite (EOS) missions of ISRO, JAXA, NASA, ESA, ground- based measurements and other related data sets using computing methods, statistical techniques by coding in Python along with high-end Graphics. The candidate should have demonstrated research aptitude and project experience in these areas. The Project Associate will be assisting in coordination of Scientific programmes & Outreach activities of the Institute.

Qualifications
: Master's in aerospace/mechanical/civil/environmental, Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences, Environmental science, Fluid dynamics with an aggregate mark of 60% and two years of research experience.

Candidates with Ph D thesis submitted or with research experience are desirable.

The position is for three years period renewable every year based on performance and project requirements. Probationary period is initial six months and will be paid a monthly consolidated amount of Rs. 31,000 per month. Confirmation upon completion of Probationary period is based on performance evaluation and will be paid Rs.35, % HRA per month.
