Job Title: Travel Planner Executive

Department: Travel Operations / Sales & Planning

Reports To: Travel Manager / Operations Head

Job Summary:

The Travel Planner Executive is responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing customized travel itineraries for individual and corporate clients. The role involves handling inquiries, preparing quotations, managing bookings, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction throughout the travel experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Handling & Consultation

  • Understand client travel requirements, budget, and preferences.

  • Suggest destinations, hotels, transportation, and activities accordingly.

  • Provide detailed itineraries and quotations.

  • Itinerary Planning & Execution

  • Prepare domestic and international tour itineraries.

  • Coordinate with hotels, airlines, transporters, and activity providers.

  • Ensure all travel arrangements (flights, accommodation, transfers, sightseeing) are confirmed accurately.

  • Booking & Operations

  • Handle end-to-end booking process through travel portals or direct vendors.

  • Manage reservation confirmations, vouchers, and invoices.

  • Follow up for payments, travel documents, and post-trip feedback.

  • Negotiate rates and ensure timely service delivery.

  • Sales & Reporting

  • Achieve monthly booking and sales targets.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and booking reports.

  • Update client database and maintain CRM records.

  • Customer Support

  • Provide 24/7 support during client travel (if required).

  • Handle changes, cancellations, or emergencies professionally.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.

  • 1–2 years of experience in travel planning, operations, or ticketing.

  • Knowledge of domestic & international destinations.

  • Proficiency in GDS/Travel portals (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, or similar).

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Good negotiation, coordination, and time-management abilities.

  • Attention to detail and multitasking capability.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Passion for travel and destination knowledge.

  • Fluency in multiple languages.

  • Prior experience in a travel agency or DMC setup.
