JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a passionate and creative VFX Artist Intern to join our team. As a VFX Artist, you will work closely with our Art and Development teams to create high-quality visual effects that elevate the overall gaming experience. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the AAA game development pipeline and work on a global-quality title.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, create, and implement visually stunning real-time visual effects for environments, characters, vehicles, weapons, and gameplay elements.
  • Collaborate with the Art Director, Technical Artists, and Developers to ensure visual effects are optimized and seamlessly integrated into the game.
  • Maintain visual consistency while following established art direction and technical constraints.
  • Use particle systems, shaders, and post-processing effects to create immersive and dynamic visuals.
  • Support gameplay features with impactful VFX, enhancing player feedback and immersion.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and bring fresh ideas to the creative process.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in VFX tools and game engines:
    • Unreal Engine 5 (Niagara VFX System, Material Editor)
    • Unity (if applicable, optional but a plus)
  • Software Knowledge:
    • Adobe After Effects
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • Houdini (for procedural effects & simulations)
    • Autodesk Maya / 3ds Max (for mesh creation and animations)
    • Substance Designer / Substance Painter (for texture creation)
  • Basic understanding of real-time rendering pipelines and optimization techniques.
  • Eye for detail, motion, and visual storytelling.
  • Familiarity with shader development is a plus.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Animation, VFX, Game Art, or a related field.
  • Portfolio showcasing relevant work in VFX (student projects, personal projects, etc.).
  • Passion for gaming and a strong desire to work in a AAA game development environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
