Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Bedside Assistance Nurses to provide direct patient care and support in hospital settings across Bhilai and Durg. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient well-being, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Provide bedside nursing care and assistance to patients under the supervision of senior nursing staff.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration)
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide hospital support in terms of getting medicines and communicating to NOK.
- Change dressings, manage IV lines, and perform basic wound care.
- Repositioning the client time to time, to prevent bedsores.
- To give medication reminders.
Clinical Support
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to senior medical staff
- Assist doctors during examinations and procedures
- Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of medical equipment
- Collect samples for laboratory testing when required Patient Comfort & Safety
- Ensure patient comfort and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Respond promptly to patient call bells and requests
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning to prevent bedsores
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families
- Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines
Required Qualifications
Education
- GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) or ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) certification or GDA (General duty Assistant)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
Experience
- 0-2 years of experience in hospital or clinical settings
- Freshers with relevant certification are encouraged to apply
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of basic nursing procedures and patient care protocols
- Ability to monitor vital signs and recognize abnormal readings
- Good communication skills in Hindi and English and Local Language
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work in shifts (day/night/rotating schedules)
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and assist with patient mobility
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in geriatric care or elder patient management
- Knowledge of chronic condition management (diabetes, hypertension, heart disease)
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Additional certifications in specialized nursing care Work Environment
- Hospital setting with direct patient contact
- Shift-based work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and assisting patients
- Exposure to infectious diseases (with appropriate safety protocols)
