Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
Build and lead a high-performing back-office team responsible for invoicing, data management, and reporting.
- Establish clear SOPs and performance metrics for accuracy, timeliness, and accountability.
Coordinate with store managers, finance, and procurement teams to ensure smooth data and invoice flow.
Data & Reporting
Oversee integration of daily transactional data from the SQL database into Excel, Power BI, and Looker Studio.
- Ensure accurate per-transaction cost, price, and margin data across all stores.
- Develop and maintain automated dashboards for store performance, category margins, and data quality.
Implement data validation and reconciliation processes to eliminate errors and inconsistencies.
Process Optimization
Identify inefficiencies in invoice, data entry, and reporting processes; design and implement improvements.
- Introduce tools and automation (Power Query, Power Automate, or dbt) to reduce manual effort and increase data accuracy.
Standardize templates and ensure synchronization between Excel models, Power BI dashboards, and SQL sources.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with IT, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure system reliability and end-to-end workflow integrity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience (510 years) in retail operations, back-office management, or data operations leadership.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Excel, Power BI, and SQL-based systems.
- Experience managing technical or data-focused teams in a multi-store retail environment.
- Ability to design and implement automated workflows using tools like Power Query, Power Automate, or Looker Studio.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to translate data insights into operational improvements.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on process efficiency and accountability.
