Job Specification

  • 3+ years of experience as a Python Developer.
  • Experience in Visual Effects or related industry.
  • Excellent Python, Maya and Linux skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Visual Effects pipeline.
  • Experienced in developing tools for DCC packages such as Maya, Houdini or Nuke.
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science / Computer Graphics or experience with source control systems and team development.

  • Experience in PyQt5/pySide2 desktop application development
  • Experience in version control (GIT)
  • knowledge of the Shotgrid API
  • Test driven development
  • Experience in CI/CD systems
  • Experience in Django & REST APIs
  • Knowledge of Tensorflow/Pytorch/Keras
  • Providing face-to-face technical support and assistance to artists, as well as developing new tools and scripts - predominantly in Python.
  • Providing technical advice and support for artists collaborating with R&D developers and senior production supervisors to develop specific new Python tools and workflows contribute to the development and constant improvement of the pipeline.
  • Ensuring that the requests for new tools are connected with company strategy as well as being able to demonstrate technical skill and initiative.
  • Ability to be an excellent communicator – the ability to accurately and succinctly communicate between technical developers and non-technical artists will help you thrive in this role.
