As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Payments Technology, you will oversee multiple teams, guiding them through daily implementation tasks. Your role involves identifying and escalating issues while ensuring that your team's work aligns with compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.

Job responsibilities

  • Leads the design, development, and implementation of test automation frameworks and solutions in payments domain
  • Develops and maintains automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Mentors and guides test engineers in best practices for test automation.
  • Conducts code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Continuously improve test automation processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in test automation and software testing.
  • Provides technical leadership and guidance to the test automation team.
  • Prepares and presents reports on test automation progress and results to stakeholders.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering deployments, test automation and execution
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Practical cloud native experience
