Job Summary

The Accounts Manager is responsible for managing all accounting and financial operations of the organization. This includes maintaining accurate records, statutory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, team supervision, and providing management with insights to support decision-making. The role ensures smooth financial operations and strong internal controls across all accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting Operations

  • Manage full-spectrum accounting operations, including journal entries, ledgers, trial balances, and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, customer collections, and follow-ups.
  • Ensure timely and accurate bank reconciliations, cash management, and fund transfers.
  • Maintain petty cash, expense reports, and financial documentation for all business transactions.

2. Statutory Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and file tax returns and other statutory reports within deadlines.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing accurate data and records.
  • Implement audit recommendations and strengthen internal controls.

3. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Generate management reports, MIS dashboards, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor costs, expenses, and financial performance, highlighting deviations to management.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

4. Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, guide, and supervise the accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Allocate responsibilities, review entries, and conduct periodic performance reviews.
  • Train team members on accounting standards, ERP usage, and compliance requirements.

5. Costing & Inventory Accounting (if manufacturing setup)

  • Monitor raw materials, WIP, and finished goods accounting.
  • Track material consumption, scrap, wastage, and variances.
  • Assist in product costing and profitability analysis.

6. Process Improvement & Internal Controls

  • Implement and monitor internal control systems to reduce errors and fraud risks.
  • Optimize accounting processes, workflows, and ERP utilization.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for audits, statutory compliance, and management review.

7. Strategic Support to Management

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to aid strategic decisions.
  • Monitor working capital, cash flow, and banking relationships.
  • Support management in cost control, risk assessment, and investment decisions.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Tally / ERP systems.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and financial analysis.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent accuracy, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle end-to-end accounting independently.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 60 months

Pay: ₹35, ₹50,000.00 per month
