Biomedical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Biomedical Engineer (also known as Clinical Engineer) to join our hospital's Clinical Engineering department. In this role, you will be responsible for the lifecycle management of medical equipment, including installation, maintenance, repair, and training. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and technicians to ensure all biomedical devices operate safely and efficiently, supporting high-quality patient care while complying with regulatory standards.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures, performing repairs or coordinating with vendors as needed.
• Conduct safety inspections, electrical safety testing, and incoming inspections for new equipment.
• Train clinical staff (nurses, physicians, and technicians) on the proper use, care, and operation of medical devices.
• Evaluate new medical technologies, provide recommendations for procurement, and assist in equipment planning and budgeting.
• Maintain accurate documentation, inventory records, and reports for equipment management, incidents, and compliance.
• Participate in risk management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance activities, including incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with IT, facilities, and clinical teams on integrated systems (e.g., networked medical devices).
• Stay current with advancements in biomedical technology and regulations through ongoing education and certifications.
