Role Overview

As a
Software Engineer
on the Joyful platform, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and scaling our backend infrastructure. You will work on real-time data processing systems, AI model integrations, and distributed microservices that power millions of customer interactions.

This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate closely with data, AI, and product teams to build a reliable and intelligent customer experience engine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain
    low-latency microservices
    for data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment
  • Build and optimize data connectors for
    social media, chat, and email platforms
  • Collaborate with the AI/ML team to integrate sentiment analysis, topic modeling
    , and other enrichment models
  • Work with modern data stores like
    PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Cassandra
  • Ensure high reliability, scalability, and performance across distributed systems
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
    following best practices
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience
    building backend or full-stack applications
  • Proficiency in
    Java, Python, Go, or
  • Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs
  • Knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
    and
    NoSQL databases (MongoDB/Cassandra)
  • Understanding of distributed systems and message queues (Kafka, Pub/Sub, etc.)
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and work with technologies like Flink, Elasticsearch, and LLMs
