Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru for an Engineering Lead. As an Engineering Lead, you will oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of software solutions, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will also include code reviews, ensuring engineering best practices, managing project timelines and swift releases, and driving technical innovations to meet business objectives.

What You'll Own

• Lead and scale
   a high-performing team of backend, frontend, AI, and DevOps engineers.
• Architect
   and oversee the development of distributed systems that support dynamic AI workflows, microservices, and real-time analytics.
• Drive delivery
   of complex product features from idea to production in tight loops with product and design.
• Mentor and grow
   engineers; set up career paths, upskilling plans, and performance processes.
• Implement engineering processes
   (Agile, CI/CD, testing, reviews) that optimize team productivity and system reliability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally
   with product, design, and GTM teams to align on goals, customer needs, and roadmaps.
• Define engineering strategy
  , plan team structure, and scale operations in line with business growth.
• Balance hands-on contributions
   with high-level system and team architecture guidance.
• Create a strong culture
   of code quality, collaboration, innovation, and ownership.
• Recruit and onboard
   top talent aligned with our vision and values.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of full-time software engineering experience, with 2+ years as an Engineering Lead/Manager
• Proven leadership of a 10–20 person engineering team delivering complex, scalable platforms
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and system design
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), modern dev stacks , Python), and data systems (Postgres, Redis, Kafka)
• Proficiency in building production-grade APIs (REST, GraphQL) and real-time systems
• Familiarity with AI/ML engineering workflows or experience integrating AI into systems
• Experience in eCommerce, SaaS, or data-heavy product environments
• Prior exposure to building internal tools, workflow automation platforms, or developer-facing products
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Bias for action, ownership, and learning

Bonus Points

• Experience with Gen AI tools and LLM integrations
• Background in building OS-like platforms or multi-agent systems
• Experience scaling startup tech teams from Seed to Series A+
• Experience designing systems that replace or improve traditional PIM/DAM/CMS
• Working knowledge of containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and observability platforms (Datadog, Prometheus)
• Knowledge of Agile product practices and lean startup experimentation cycles
• Deep empathy for users and a strong product sense
