Role Title: ServiceNow Developer (Primary)

About The Opportunity
A fast-growing enterprise IT services and digital transformation consultancy focused on ServiceNow-driven automation, ITSM/ITOM/HRSD implementations, and large-scale platform integrations for global enterprise customers. The team delivers end-to-end platform engineering, integration, and upgrade projects that drive operational efficiency and digital workflows.

We are hiring an on-site ServiceNow Developer to join Formics' delivery team in India to design, build and support production-grade ServiceNow solutions for enterprise clients.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scoped ServiceNow applications and modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD) using server-side and client-side scripting (Glide, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies).
  • Implement Flow Designer, Workflows, and IntegrationHub actions; build and maintain REST/SOAP integrations, web services, and custom APIs for third-party systems.
  • Configure and administer CMDB, Discovery, MID Server, and related ITOM components to ensure accurate configuration data and automated discovery processes.
  • Support platform upgrades, performance tuning, and automation of deployment pipelines (Git/CI-CD); create automated tests and maintain release artifacts and runbooks.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional delivery teams in Agile ceremonies to translate requirements into technical designs and deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, deliver timely fixes, and maintain clear technical documentation.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have

  • 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience (scoped apps, ITSM/ITOM/HRSD customization).
  • Strong JavaScript skills (Glide API), experience with Flow Designer, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Service Portal development.
  • Proven experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems via REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub, and MID Server.
  • Working knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, Event Management, and configuration best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery practices, Jira, Git-based workflows, and basic CI/CD automation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred

  • ServiceNow certifications (Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, or Implementation Specialist).
  • Experience with Service Portal, AngularJS, Performance Analytics, and platform upgrade projects.
  • ITIL Foundation certification and exposure to cloud integrations (AWS/Azure).
