Position Overview
The Payroll & Compliance Specialist is responsible for doing calculations and assisting with managing Payroll, coordination with HR and inputting the details in ADP Payroll partner Software, and resolving the PF and be able to hand other Payroll related queries of employees, doing TDS and withholding compliances, creation of Pay structures, coordination with HR team /using HRIS Software (Workday)for collating inputs for payroll processing and managing NPS deductions and related compliances etc.

Key Responsibilities
PAYROLL
Monthly payroll process -Liaison with HR to get the input in time
Monthly payroll process - Check the input and enter the same in Payroll Software
Assisting with checking the calculation of the pay sheet processed
Monthly reconciliation of Salary and reimbursement payable
Monthly payroll Bank processing
Monthly Accruals for Payroll, Reimbursements, Gratuity and EL
Actuary Valuation annually
Audit Schedules for statutory payouts
Statutory payouts and returns-Withholding Tax and Payroll
Ensure due deduction of TDS and timely deposit of tax
Ensure timely filing of TDS returns
Keep record of TDS certificates- Form 16
Keep record of TDS monthly challans -Salary Only
Coordinate with Payroll vendor-ADP for any issue resolution
Payroll Taxes ( PF,ESI,)
Ensure due deductions and employers contributions of payroll taxes
Ensure timely deposit of monthly payroll taxes
Ensure timely fining of statutory returns.
Keep proper records of challans, returns and other relevant documents.
Coordinate with HR for PF transfer cases
Managing NPS Deductions
Managing MIS of employee reimbursement Proofs submitted under Section 80 C of Income Tax Act 1961, collection of Tax exempted Proofs and entering details for internal MIS and handling declarations etc
Handling Wellness Reimbursement and queries for employees
Key Competencies
- Computer Literacy- Advanced MS-Excel Skills, Proficiency in MS-Word, Outlook and Tally ERP,Exposure of Netsuite ERP.
- Communication Skills- Good communication skills both in written and verbal forms
- Adaptability & Other skills- Ability to adapt, prioritize and multi-task. Strong analytical and planning skills with accuracy and thoroughness. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. Exposure to ADP is preferred
- Team Management- Should be competent to manage and coordinate with other key teams like HR etc. Prior people management experience preferred.
- Customer Centricity- Very high on employee centricity

- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
- A good team player, can follow instructions diligently. The candidate should possess basic knowledge of accounting debits and credits.
