The Company
The Pianosa Project focuses on large-scale content creation and media management for e-commerce marketplaces and brands. Our primary USP is the use of automation to create content at large volumes. There are primarily 4 departments in the company: Production & Editing, Influencer Management, Live Content and Media Campaigns. We work across multiple categories with a primary focus on e-commerce, working with brands like Amazon, Pidilite, Agaro, Puma, Flipkart and many more.
About the Role
As an Assistant Director (AD), you will be a key member of the production team, supporting the Director/Head of Production in planning, executing and delivering content projects on time, on budget, and to high creative standards. You'll be involved across pre-production, production and post-production phases, coordinating teams, resources, schedules, logistics and ensuring smooth execution in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the Director / Production Lead to understand the creative vision, project scope, content format and technical requirements.
· Assist in scripting, storyboarding or shot-list preparation and ensure all departments understand the plan.
· Develop detailed production schedules and call-sheets; ensure all stakeholders are informed.
· Coordinate logistics — location / studio bookings, equipment, props, wardrobe, etc.
· Monitor production budget and resource allocation; flag risks/overruns early and help implement mitigation plans.
· Supervise on-set operations: manage crew workflows, support the Director in execution, ensure timelines are met, problems are addressed swiftly.
· Liaise with post-production to ensure deliverables are on track, quality meets expectations and hand-offs are smooth.
· Maintain clear communication with internal teams to ensure alignment, revisions / feedback loops, and delivery timelines.
· Ensure compliance with safety, rights/permissions, talent releases, studio protocols.
· Continuously monitor industry trends and suggest process improvements to streamline production and scale output.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in video or commercial production
- Prior experience on beauty or personal care shoots (e.g, skincare, cosmetics, haircare campaigns) is required
- Technically competent — familiar with camera/lighting/sound workflows, studio operations, post-production hand-offs.
- Strong understanding of set etiquette and shoot-day dynamics
- Strong organizational, scheduling, logistics and multitasking skills — able to juggle crew, talent, resources and timelines under pressure.
