Your work profile

• OCI Database Administration
• Install, configure, and administer Oracle databases on OCI, including ATP/ADW, Exadata Cloud Service, DB Systems, and Bare Metal/VM DBs.
• Manage database provisioning, scaling, patching, and backups using OCI-native tools.
• Configure and administer Oracle Data Guard, RAC (if applicable), and High Availability setups.
• Implement and manage OCI Autonomous Databases—monitoring, tuning, and workload optimization.
• Cloud Operations & Automation
• Manage cloud infrastructure components including VCNs, subnets, security rules, vaults, and object storage.
• Develop automation scripts using Terraform, OCI CLI, Ansible, or Python for provisioning and operational tasks.
• Implement monitoring and alerting using OCI Monitoring, Logging, Alarms, and Events.
• Performance, Security & Optimization
• Perform SQL tuning, AWR analysis, optimizer tuning, partitioning, and indexing strategies.
• Ensure database security through IAM policies, network security groups, encryption, and auditing.
• Implement best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, data protection, and failover procedures.
• Migration & Modernization
• Lead migrations from on-prem Oracle DBs to OCI DB Systems, Exadata Cloud Service, or Autonomous DB.
• Utilize Oracle tools like RMAN, Data Pump, GoldenGate, Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM).
• Modernize legacy environments to cloud-native, scalable database architectures.
• Support & Collaboration
• Work closely with application teams, cloud architects, and DevOps engineers to support database needs.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure minimal downtime.

• Base location: Bengaluru
• This profile involves occasional travelling to client locations OR this profile does not involve extensive travel for work.
