Nurses also offer emotional support to patients and their families
  • JOB ROLE:
  • Patient Care: Nurses directly care for patients, assessing their needs, monitoring their condition, and providing treatments and medications.
  • Assessment: Nurses evaluate patients' symptoms, medical history, and overall health status to develop appropriate care plans.
  • Medication Administration: Nurses are responsible for accurately administering prescribed medications, including dosage, route, and timing.
  • Monitoring Vital Signs: Nurses regularly monitor patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, to track their progress and detect any changes.
  • Education and Support: Nurses educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and how to manage their health at home. They also provide emotional support and guidance.
  • Collaboration: Nurses collaborate with doctors, other healthcare professionals, and patients to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Documentation: Nurses meticulously document patient assessments, treatments, medications, and vital signs.
  • Supervision: Nurses may supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other nursing staff.
  • Emergency Response: Nurses are trained to respond to emergencies, providing immediate care and support to patients.
