The Opportunity

Join us as a
Junior Equity Research Analyst
on the buy-side analyst team for a full-time, on-site position in North West Delhi. This is a hands-on role designed for students or recent graduates who are serious about building a career in equity research but are not yet fully qualified CAs/CFAs.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Fundamental Analysis

  • Build & update financial models (3-statement, DCF, relative valuation) for small-cap companies.
  • Track quarterly results and extract KPI trends from call transcripts.

Sector & Thematic Research

  • Map value chains, addressable market sizes, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Benchmark Indian players against global peers.

Scuttlebutt / Primary Research

  • Participate in plant visits, channel checks, vendor calls, and industry trade-show walkthroughs.

Management Interaction Preparation

  • Draft meeting decks & targeted questionnaires.

Internal Memos & Investment Notes

  • Convert research insights into crisp one-page theses.
  • Present findings to the manager.

Qualification

Education:

  • Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's/Master's in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related field (e.g., B.Com, BBA, BA Eco (H), M.Com, MBA (Fin)).
  • Students enrolled in CA / CFA (Level I/II) programs are welcome, but neither designation is mandatory.

Technical Skills:

  • Solid grasp of accounting fundamentals (revenue recognition, working capital mechanics, cash-flow bridge).
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with basic VBA or Python for data scraping is a plus.
  • Ability to read an Annual Report thoroughly and translate narrative into numbers.

Soft Skills:

  • Intellectual curiosity and a genuine passion for equities and business models.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel within India.
  • Resilience to work with imperfect information and under tight deadlines.
