About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building scalable test automation frameworks, integrating with CI/CD pipelines, and driving quality through automation best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright.
  • Implement test strategies for UI, API, and end-to-end automation.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts in TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • Build reusable components following Page Object Model (POM) and data-driven testing principles.
  • Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Generate and maintain test reports using tools like Allure, Extent, or Playwright Reporter.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure test coverage and reliability.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of total experience in Test Automation.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in Playwright.
  • Strong programming skills in TypeScript or JavaScript (Python/Java is a plus).
  • Solid understanding of web technologies – HTML, CSS, DOM, REST APIs, JSON.
  • Experience in creating automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, Git, and test reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in API testing (Postman, REST Assured).
  • Exposure to cloud-based test execution (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker).
