Location: Pune (hybrid model) – UK Shift

Experience: 6+ years

Duration: 12+ months, extendable

Job description:

  • As part of the application decom, we have some environments that need to perform an export into our formal regulatory archive system
  • Since some of the data needed is historic, we will need to perform a restore from tape for some of the applications first and then subsequently load the backup dump into a DB and export into the regulatory archive
  • There are around 50 apps in this scope. The apps will need somewhere between 10 & 250 restores each
  • Each restore needs tape management, i.e. selection and retrieval from vaults, a restore process to designated storage, and coordination with the app team to load into the DB.
  • Key skills are NetBackup, Windows & Linux, maybe a bit of storage / filesystem.
