Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Sensor Fusion Engineer to develop advanced sensor fusion algorithms and systems that integrate data from multiple sensors such as LiDAR, radar, IMU, GPS, and cameras. This role is key to enabling accurate perception, localization, and decision-making in [autonomous vehicles / robotics / aerospace applications].

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement real-time sensor fusion algorithms to combine data from various sensor modalities (LiDAR, radar, cameras, GPS, IMU, etc.).
  • Apply techniques such as Kalman filters, particle filters, Bayesian estimation, and deep learning where appropriate.
  • Develop software modules for multi-sensor data integration to support perception, localization, and mapping systems.
  • Work with hardware and systems engineers to evaluate sensor performance and ensure proper calibration and synchronization.
  • Perform sensor modeling and characterization to improve accuracy and reliability.
  • Optimize algorithms for performance, scalability, and real-time deployment on embedded or high-performance computing platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with perception, localization, and autonomy teams to integrate fusion solutions.
  • Test and validate algorithms using real-world data and simulation environments.
  • Contribute to documentation, technical specifications, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASIL, etc.).

Required Skills :

  • Strong experience in sensor fusion techniques such as:

  • Extended/Unscented Kalman Filters (EKF/UKF)

  • Particle Filters

  • Bayesian filtering and probabilistic robotics

  • Proficiency in C++, Python, and frameworks like ROS (Robot Operating System).

  • Solid understanding of linear algebra, statistics, and estimation theory.
  • Experience with one or more sensor types: LiDAR, radar, camera, GPS, IMU.
