Job Title: Snowflake Administrator

Location: Remote (1–2 days/month onsite at any HCL location in India)

Shift: 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM IST

Experience Required: 4+ years

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Administrator to join our team. The role involves managing and optimizing Snowflake in a production environment while leveraging Azure Cloud services. You will be responsible for ensuring security, compliance, and performance of Snowflake workloads, along with supporting automation and CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage Snowflake environments in production.
  • Implement and manage RBAC, RLS, and CLS policies to ensure data security.
  • Design and optimize Snowflake schemas, queries, and workloads.
  • Collaborate with Azure Cloud teams for architecture and integration.
  • Automate workflows using CI/CD pipelines and IaC tools (Terraform, Azure DevOps).
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of Snowflake instances.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Document architecture, processes, and best practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support data platform scalability.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience administering Snowflake in a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud services and architecture.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake scripting, and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure DevOps).
  • Proven track record of implementing RBAC, RLS, and CLS in Snowflake.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Snowflake SnowPro Certification (highly desirable).
  • Azure Administrator or Azure Data Engineer Certification.
  • Scripting skills in Python or similar languages.
  • Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Up to ₹100,000.00 per month
