Principal Officer (PO)

About the Role:

The Principal Officer will lead the organization's overall regulatory, compliance, and risk management functions. This role ensures that the entity maintains full compliance with financial sector laws and regulations and implements robust governance mechanisms across business units.

The PO will also serve as a key liaison with regulators and oversee the compliance, legal, and audit teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee compliance management systems and ensure adherence to financial and investment sector regulations.

Supervise compliance officers and risk teams to ensure organizational integrity.

Engage directly with regulatory bodies (SEBI, RBI, IRDAI, PFRDA, etc.) for filings, audits, and inspections.

Review and approve compliance reports, disclosures, and investor communications.

Monitor risk exposure and provide advisory support to senior management and the Board.

Implement and review policies on fund management, due diligence, and governance.

Conduct training sessions and compliance audits to reinforce risk culture.

Ensure timely response to regulatory queries, inspections, and compliance observations.

Eligibility Criteria (as per regulatory update):

Educational Qualification:

MBA (Finance/Business Administration), Master's in Law (LL.M), or Professional Qualification such as CA / CS / CFA / CMA.

Experience Requirement:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

Investment banking

Credit rating agency

Market infrastructure institution

Financial sector regulator

Consultancy experience in fund management, deal due diligence, transaction advisory, or similar financial activities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹27,714.11 per month
