SAP AI Product Engineering Team is part of the SAP Business AI unit and one of the key drivers of the Intelligent Enterprise. Our mission is to infuse all enterprise applications with Artificial Intelligence capabilities, empowering our customers to maximize their business data. We are responsible for foundational products such as SAP Generative AI Hub, AI Core and AI Launchpad that help application AI Developers embed AI capabilities in their applications. Our teams are located in Germany, Singapore, and India, exemplifying an innovative, start-up-like work environment

What You'll D

As a Backend Developer on the Prompt Evaluation, Prompt Optimization & Metering Platform, you will play a key role in enhancing the accuracy and reliability of our prompts & billing systems. You'll work closely with engineers, architects, and product managers to identify and fix data leaks, build fault-tolerant services, and contribute to the long-term resilience of our platform. You'll also be expected to deepen your domain expertise in metering and billing, as this is a core area of ownership for the tea

Your tasks will includ

• Designing and developing scalable backend services using Python and Go
• Identifying and resolving data inconsistencies and billing inaccuracies
• Building resilient systems with strong observability and fault tolerance
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies
• Participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Upskilling in metering and billing fundamentals to strengthen domain ownership
• Working with Kubernetes and Argo for deployment and workflow orchestration
• Ensuring high code quality and operational readiness through automation and testing

What You Brin

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4 to 8 years of experience in backend development
• Strong programming skills in Python and Go
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Argo Workflows
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Ability to work in global teams and adapt to dynamic environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Passion for learning and continuous improvemen

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with observability tools and performance monitoring
