Security Control Room Officer

The SCRO is a new role designed to strengthen the incident management capability in site Security Control Rooms (SCR). The SCRO lines manages the SCRA role. Although the SCRO will manage day-to-day security operations the primary purpose of the role is to ensure incident management preparedness. The SCRO is responsible for managing and organising the SCR. In a threat and\or incident situation the SCRO will run the SCR and take command until relieved by a more senior manager.

Handling Access Control System (ACS), Access Requests and Issue of ID cards:

  1. Manage the end-to-end ACS process

  2. Responsible to card stock levels and card procurement

  3. Check and respond to access control related emails

  4. Handle all access control related requests from employees, vendors or clients and provide necessary support after taking necessary approvals as per SOP

  5. Adhere to the JML process deleting all access privilege immediately upon notification of events such as termination, separation or reassignment of duties. Maintain the updated Access Control Approval Matrix for his locations.

  6. Issuance of temporary access cards, access activation post due verification

  7. Handle new employees ID cards requests, printing of new ID cards and timely handover to employees

  8. Ensure that all newly printed ID access cards are stored, secured and handed over to employees on time adhering to SOPs

  9. JML list to be updated on daily basis and emails to be stored in relevant folder for audit

  10. Alarm monitoring and necessary response to the alarms together with confirmation to India Security Control Room (ISCR)

  11. Daily checks of all access control doors/flap barriers and maintain daily working status report

  12. Report ACS faults to the maintenance vendor, site engineering team and SPOC

  13. Input and create BSMART entries for the ACS and write the weekly fault report
