Job Title: Mainframe Developer – BFSI Domain

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mainframe Developer with proven experience in the BFSI domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications that support critical banking and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain COBOL-based applications on IBM Mainframe systems
  • Work with JCL, VSAM, CICS, DB2, and other mainframe utilities
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, Business Analysts, and Project Managers
  • Perform impact analysis, code reviews, and performance tuning
  • Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory standards
  • Support production systems and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4+ years Hands-on with Cobol, JCL, VSAM, CA-7 and related IBM Mainframe tools (primary skill)
  • Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2
  • Familiarity with tools like File-Aid, Abend-Aid, and Change Man
  • Experience in BFSI domain—preferably in core banking, lending, or payments systems
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
