Profile Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and versatile
Western Music Trainer
with expertise in both
vocals and guitar
to join our dynamic music education team at Salim Merchant's School of Musical Composition. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in guitar and other Western instruments, alongside excellent vocal training skills. You will guide students of all ages and skill levels in mastering musical techniques, nurturing creativity, and enhancing their overall musical journey.

Through celebrity-headed academies with Salim Merchant, Subhash Ghai, Amish Tripathi, Kunal Vijaykar, Shiamak Davar, Cyrus Broacha, and more, we provide holistic co-scholastic education that equips students with the skills needed for tomorrow's opportunities. Currently, we collaborate with over 150 schools across India, training more than 100,000 students.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver group and individual instruction in guitar, other Western instruments, and vocal techniques . Tailor lessons to suit students' skill levels, interests, and learning pace.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive music curriculum covering instrumental performance, vocal techniques, music theory, and stage presence.
  • Prepare students for recitals, performances, and competitions, ensuring confidence and readiness.
  • Offer constructive feedback and personalized coaching to help students improve consistently.
  • Maintain an engaging, disciplined, and creative learning environment.
  • Lead music workshops, jam sessions, and collaborative performance opportunities.

Apply If:

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in Music, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.
  • You have minimum 6 months experience (preferred) teaching guitar, vocals, or other Western music subjects in schools, colleges, or private coaching.
  • You possess strong skills in guitar playing and vocal techniques, including vocal pedagogy, performance, music theory, ear training, and sight reading.
  • Experience in conducting music workshops, choir direction, or one-on-one coaching is a plus.
  • You have excellent leadership and mentoring skills and can inspire both students and fellow educators.
  • Passionate about Western music, stage performance, and helping students grow musically and creatively.
