Role Overview

The Web Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Meena Bazaar's e-commerce platform with a strong focus on Shopify customization, website performance, and user experience. The role involves collaborating with the design, marketing, and operations teams to ensure our website remains cutting-edge, secure, and aligned with business goals while delivering an exceptional customer journey.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Maintenance

• Lead development and customization of the Shopify platform, including custom theme development, third-party app integrations, and feature enhancements.
• Build and optimize web applications with clean, scalable, and efficient code.
• Ensure consistent UI/UX design, speed optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Manage product uploads, inventory synchronization, and content updates to ensure accurate catalog presence.
• Monitor and implement SEO/SEM best practices to maximize online traffic and conversions.

Technical Implementation & Security

• Create and manage databases, APIs, and server architecture for stable and scalable performance.
• Implement robust security protocols, data protection, and contingency measures to minimize downtime.
• Handle data migration, automation scripts, and backup storage for smooth technical operations.
• Validate and test code to ensure alignment with industry standards and security principles.

Collaboration & Innovation

• Partner with e-commerce, marketing, and content teams to continuously improve website functionality.
• Recommend and implement best practices followed by industry competitors to enhance customer experience.
• Stay updated with the latest web technologies, Shopify updates, and e-commerce trends.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for digital and online sales operations.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Must-Have Technical Expertise:
• Shopify Custom Development (Themes, APIs, Payment Gateways, Inventory Management).
• Strong coding knowledge in PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, Python, Ruby, .NET, or related frameworks.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, object-oriented design, and scalable architecture.
• Good understanding of UI/UX, Mobile responsiveness, SEO/SEM, and ORM principles.
• Soft Skills:
• High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to multitask under deadlines and align websites with business goals.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with cross-functional groups.
• Creative thinking with a keen understanding of consumer journey and conversion optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–6 years of proven web development experience, preferably in E-Commerce/Retail industry.
• Hands-on expertise in Shopify platform (Liquid, APIs, Apps) is mandatory.
• Strong portfolio of past e-commerce projects is highly preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30, ₹45,000.00 per month
