About the Role

We're engineering a high-performance, secure, and scalable backend for a modern e-learning platform that merges learning, live mentorship, and AI.

As a Backend Developer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing microservices that power user data, courses, live sessions, AI features, and payment systems.

You'll work with Go, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and AWS to build a rock-solid platform ready to handle millions of learners.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop REST and GraphQL APIs using Golang (Gin / Fiber / Echo).

Architect and implement scalable microservices with domain-driven design.

Build and maintain core modules — Authentication, Courses, Progress, Payments, and AI integrations.

Integrate AWS services (S3, CloudFront, RDS, SNS, Lambda) for media, data, and automation.

Implement PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and query optimization.

Use Redis for caching sessions, leaderboards, and quizzes.

Set up Kafka event streaming for notifications, analytics, and async jobs.

Manage API authentication and authorization via Auth0 / JWT / OAuth2.

Implement security best practices: input validation, rate limiting, encryption, and DLP policies.

Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams on data contracts and CI/CD pipelines.

Build integrations with Razorpay, Stripe, and Mux APIs.

Write tests (unit, integration) and maintain documentation.

Required Skills

3+ years of hands-on experience with Golang.

Strong command of PostgreSQL, Redis, and REST API design.

Experience with AWS stack (ECS / EKS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Lambda).

Understanding of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS).

Familiarity with microservice communication (gRPC or GraphQL Federation).

Deep knowledge of scalable API design, error handling, and rate limiting.

Experience with Docker & Terraform for deployment automation.

Knowledge of testing frameworks (Go test, Testcontainers).

Familiarity with CI/CD using GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.

Understanding of application security and compliance (OWASP, GDPR).

Good to Have

Experience with AI integrations (OpenAI / Pinecone) or LangChain backends.

Worked with edtech or SaaS platforms.

Knowledge of event sourcing / CQRS patterns.

Familiarity with Snowflake or BigQuery for analytics pipelines.

Basic understanding of GraphQL resolvers (via gqlgen).
