About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to take complete technical ownership of our data infrastructure. You will be at the core of our data engineering function designing and maintaining our Snowflake-based data warehouse, managing data pipelines, and enabling fast, reliable, and insightful analytics across the business.

This role demands hands-on technical leadership, deep data engineering expertise, and strong collaboration skills with stakeholders across Finance, Go-To-Market, Sales & Marketing, and Compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimise scalable, high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Maintain and enhance our Snowflake data warehouse to ensure clean, well-modelled, and trustworthy data.
  • Collaborate with analytics, product, and business teams to translate data needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Enable self-service analytics by structuring data for intuitive reporting and exploration.
  • Implement best practices for data quality, testing, documentation, and orchestration.
  • Mentor junior engineers and actively participate in code reviews and technical design sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Expert-level SQL and strong Python skills for data transformation and automation.
  • Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining data warehouses or data lake architectures.
  • Strong track record of developing and optimising robust data pipelines from multiple data sources.
  • Knowledge of modern data modelling techniques (e.g., Star Schema, Slowly Changing Dimensions, Incremental Models).
  • Experience working directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and lead projects from concept to completion.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Amazon QuickSight.
  • Knowledge of version control and CI/CD workflows in a data engineering environment.
