About the Role- AWS Cloud Engineer

The AWS Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role supports hybrid cloud initiatives, infrastructure automation, and DevSecOps practices across development and production environments.

Job Description:

  1. Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment

    a. Architect and deploy AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, EKS, and CloudFormation 

    b. Build and manage landing zones for sandbox, non-prod, and production environments 

    c. Implement containerized workloads using EKS and integrate third-party tools like and CrowdStrike 

  2. Security & Compliance

    a. Apply standard security controls and ensure compliance with internal governance and external regulations .

    b. Manage IAM roles and policies for different personas and environments 

    Support audit logging, encryption, and secure connectivity (e.g., on-prem integration, network peering) 

  3. DevOps & Automation

    a. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS Code Pipeline 

    b. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation 

    c. Monitor and optimize cloud performance using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana 

  4. Collaboration & Support

    a. Work closely with application teams, platform engineering, and support desks to fulfill hybrid cloud requests. 

    b. Participate in daily standups and planning sessions to align AWS features and stories with business priorities.

    c. Provide technical guidance and documentation for internal stakeholders and new team members. 

  5. Required Skills & Qualifications:

    a. 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services.

    Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

    b. Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, and container orchestration (EKS).

    c. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.

    AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Developer Associate) are a plus 

    d. Exposure to scripting like Python and Bash is preferred.
