A Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring goods and services to ensure the organization operates efficiently and cost-effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships to secure the best pricing and quality for goods and services.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure adequate stock availability to meet operational needs.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and product innovations, ensuring competitive procurement strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs and align purchasing strategies with organizational goals.
- Compliance and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is typically required.
- Experience: Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, with a strong understanding of supply chain management.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills to assess suppliers and market conditions effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate negotiations and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software and tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
