Irrigation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• System Management & Maintenance:
• Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the drip irrigation and fertigation systems.
• Conduct routine checks and troubleshooting of pumps, filters, drippers, and control valves.
• Calibrate and maintain sensors for soil moisture and environmental conditions to ensure optimal irrigation scheduling.
• Technical Design & Innovation:
• Design and implement upgrades or expansions to the existing irrigation network based on crop rotation and future farm needs.
• Evaluate and integrate new agritech innovations related to water management, such as IoT-based control systems and precision irrigation tools.
• Water & Nutrient Management:
• Manage the fertigation process, ensuring precise and timely application of water-soluble fertilizers.
• Monitor water quality parameters (pH, EC) and adjust nutrient solutions accordingly.
• Analyze crop water usage data to optimize irrigation schedules, reducing water waste and improving yields.
• Operational Efficiency:
• Develop and maintain detailed records of irrigation schedules, water consumption, and system performance.
• Collaborate with the farm management and crop science teams to align irrigation strategies with crop-specific needs.
• Train junior farm staff on proper irrigation practices and basic system maintenance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25, ₹30,000.00 per month
