Senior Cost Accountant - Job SummaryPerforms intermediate accounting functions including fiscal interpretation and analysis requiring full professional competencies. Assists Corporate Controller and other accounting staff with a variety of assignments that may include financial, general, tax, contracts, budgets and cost reporting (variance), as well as payroll preparations in conjunction with the payroll team. Shift timing 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM (with competitive shift allowance apart from CTC, Cab Facility and dinner will be provided)Required Education and Experience

• Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.
• 7+ years of accounting related experience, including working in a lead and/or training capacity.
• CPA designation a plus

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Facilitates preparation of monthly financial statements including all supplemental analysis, generation of reports, account reconciliations and accompanying schedules in accordance with monthly closing schedule.
• Researches and analyzes a variety of complex workflows, accounting and systematic data; prepares related accounting reports, statements and cost benefit analyses.

Includes making recommendations and providing solutions to increase efficiencies, enhance procedures and eliminate waste.

• Key player in preparation of financial statements for Seattle, Beaverton, San Jose and Monroe sites and working with site leaders to driven performance results.
• Responsible for year end and ad hoc auditing and preparation of tax, audit and internal schedules and reports.

Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing team.

• Manages Inventory including setup, maintenance, reporting and audit verification andcoordination.

Includes analyzing for proper presentation, valuation and/or impairment by working with company inventory control managers.

• Assists with development and implementation of internal controls, accounting policies and procedures with respect to current and best practices.
• Participation in complex accounting projects and initiatives either as a project lead or member with others on the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
• Liaison with other company facilities providing direction and best practices for reconciliations and to complete projects.
• May directly or indirectly lead other accounting staff

Required Skills

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all times
• Proficient with MS Office software and use of a PC; advanced skills in Excel
• Experience with tier 1 or tier 2 fully integrated ERP software and workflows.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices, including GAAP and costaccounting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate in English
• Superior math and problem-solving skills
• Good decision making skills
• Ability to plan and organize work activities with a focus on efficiency.
• Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities

Priority for the Senior Cost Accountant. Cash Forecasting- Leverage automation of data from Epicor- Review current process and improve efficiency- Report cash flow weekly to business and corporate treasury. Blackline – Financial reconciliation software- Take on key account reconciliations- Work with other accountants, AP, and AR to clear open issues- Improve current process using automation and system administration

Invoicing process- Ensure documentation follows current process.

• Work with ops teams to ensure accuracy of margin reporting prior to invoicing.

Month End- Variance Analysis- Addback reporting- Capex reporting

Weekly Tracker update/reporting

Commission- Calculation of monthly commission for AP paid reps.- Improve current manual reporting process thru system automation- Submit monthly JE for Commission Accrual.- Reconcile commission accounts.
