Job Title:

ABAP Developer

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing SAP solutions across various SAP Industry and Business applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ABAP on S/4HANA, Object-Oriented Programming, and modern SAP development frameworks such as CDS, OData, and RAP.

You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with SAP best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and optimize ABAP programs for SAP solutions.
  • Implement and customize SAP Industry and Business Solutions (e.g., Banking, Insurance, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, EWM, CRM, PLM, SCM, or SRM).
  • Work with SAP S/4HANA technologies Core Data Services (CDS), OData/REST services, and RAP.
  • Utilize Object-Oriented ABAP, BOPF, BOL, and other development frameworks.
  • Perform technical analysis, design, and documentation of solutions.
  • Collaborate with functional and business teams to gather requirements and provide end-to-end technical solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensure compliance with SAP best practices, and mentor junior developers (for senior-level positions).

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–9+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development (S/4HANA preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ABAP stack (NetWeaver 7.0 and above), OOABAP, and Core Data Services (CDS).
  • Experience with Business Object frameworks (BOPF, BOL, etc.).
  • Understanding of NW Gateway and OData/REST APIs.
  • Exposure to SAP Industry Solutions and SAP Business Solutions.
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes and provide scalable solutions.
  • English level: B1+ or higher (B2+ preferred).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori Design Guidelines and web technologies (SAPUI5, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, ).
  • Knowledge of RAP, SDS, or GenAI frameworks.
  • Understanding of Agile or DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of German language is an advantage.
