Role Description

The bank utilizes a wide range of technologies within its IT landscape, spanning both infrastructure platforms and business applications. As a Technology Manager, your role will be pivotal in shaping the direction of our technology portfolio. A key focus will be managing the Technology management team in India providing oversight of operational activities ensuring they are delivered to high levels of efficiency and effectiveness. Furthermore, providing leadership and guidance to the team to achieve the banks technology outcomes. Collaboration with multiple TDI teams and stakeholders is essential, as you take a lead in supporting the achievement of a standardised technology portfolio.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the Technology Management team based in India and ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee the execute the New Technology Process (NTI) to evaluate and approve third-party software for the bank.
  • Design and implement IT asset management strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Integrate innovative solutions to improve asset management processes.
  • Manage relationships and priorities across business, technology, and operational teams, navigating multiple drivers of work and conflicting priorities.
  • Promote strong IT asset management policies and ensure the control environment is clearly communicated and understood organization wide.
  • Ensure smooth operation of governance forums and compliance with relevant policies.
  • Mitigate risks linked to unauthorized software usage.
  • Identify and address risks related to IT asset usage, security, obsolescence, and new IT solutions.
  • Proactively develop strategies to reduce control gaps across the IT asset lifecycle.
  • Continuously seek improvements in IT asset management processes.
  • Drive Technology Management strategy by leading program delivery initiatives and advocating for transformational change.
  • Foster clear and effective communication across stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and developers, to ensure alignment and shared understanding.

  • In-depth understanding of IT Asset Management delivery processes, risks, and issues.

  • Identify root causes of issues and craft effective solutions that align with organizational objectives.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights for informed decision-making.
  • Examine current processes to identify inefficiencies and propose enhancements for optimized workflows and results.
  • Act as a bridge between stakeholders—business users, IT teams, and developers—to foster alignment and shared understanding.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end-users, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Leverage strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities to enhance collaboration and stakeholder management.
