Now Hiring: Data Engineer (Python, PySpark, Palantir Foundry) | Pune, Hyderabad | Contract-to-Hire | Hybrid | US Client

Vopais is looking for experienced Data Engineers to join a high-impact team in Pune, supporting a major client in the utilities/energy sector. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers hands-on leadership in building robust, enterprise-scale data pipelines and analytics on the latest data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL data pipelines using Python & PySpark
  • Ensure end-to-end data quality, governance, and compliance
  • Collaborate with solution architects and analysts to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Work extensively with Palantir Foundry (pipelines, ontology, data modeling, integration)
  • Manage and transform complex data from multiple sources (structured/unstructured)
  • Performance tuning and troubleshooting of big data applications
  • Follow best practices in coding, testing, and deployment

Requirements:

  • 3–10 years of relevant data engineering experience (preferably in utilities/energy or similar domains)
  • Advanced programming skills in Python
  • Extensive PySpark and big data handling experience
  • Strong, hands-on Palantir Foundry expertise (pipelines, ontology, integration)
  • Excellent SQL, data modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication, stakeholder management, and team collaboration abilities

Must have:

  • Cloud data services: AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • DevOps (CI/CD) for data engineering
  • Visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, Palantir dashboards
  • Domain experience in utilities/energy
