Job Title: Deputy General Manager / Assistant General Manager – Supply Chain

Role Overview

The DGM/AGM – Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain for solar projects (utility-scale and C&I), covering budgeting, procurement, vendor development, logistics, and project site coordination. The role is critical in ensuring adherence to budgets, timely availability of materials , and services to support on-time and cost-effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Supply Chain & Procurement

• Create and manage procurement budget on a RTM (Rolling Twelve Months) basis - by consolidating requirements of 50+ sites or projects.
• Build and manage vendor relationships
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to optimize project costs.
• Track solar industry trends, policies, and technology updates to align sourcing strategy.

Project Supply Chain Management

• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and site teams for maintain strict compliance to RTM budget, and timely material delivery.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines with proactive supply chain planning.
• Implement logistics strategies for safe and efficient transport of heavy equipment to sites.

Logistics & Inventory Management

• Optimize logistics cost while ensuring reliability and on-time delivery.

Team & Process Leadership

• Lead the supply chain team across contract negotiations, procurement and logistics functions.
• Implement ERP-based supply chain management systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics).
• Drive sustainability, risk management, and supplier quality improvement initiatives.

Skills & Competencies

• Deep knowledge of the structure and customary terms of supply and service contracts.
• Knowledge of the prevailing market prices of solar project inputs for the California market
• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
• Exceptional Budgeting and budget tracking skills
• Experience in global sourcing and import/export processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's in Engineering / Supply Chain / Business (MBA/PGDM preferred).
• 10+ years of supply chain experience, with at least 5+ years in solar/renewable EPC.
• Proven track record in procurement of solar equipment and BOS items.
• Experience in handling multi-site EPC projects with time-critical supply chain requirements.
