About the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead and execute the development of build and deployment pipelines across our Microsoft-based application ecosystem. This role will establish our DevOps strategy and best practices while remaining deeply hands-on in implementation, automation, and optimization.

You'll collaborate closely with our software engineering teams to design, build, and manage automated pipelines that support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) across multiple applications. This includes both traditional IIS-based web applications and serverless workloads running on Azure Functions and Cosmos DB.

Duration: 6+ months

Location: Hyd (EST timzone preferred)

Reports To: Manager of Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications running on Azure environments, including IIS web apps, SQL Server, and Azure Functions.
  • Migrate and manage source control — assist in transitioning repositories from BitBucket to GitHub or Azure DevOps as needed.
  • Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform for Azure resource provisioning.
  • Integrate build/deployment pipelines with quality gates, testing frameworks, and security checks.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth deployments and environment consistency across dev, staging, and production.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar tools.
  • Ensure SOC 2 compliance in all DevOps processes, including access control, deployment logging, and change management.
  • Establish DevOps best practices for automation, release management, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing pipelines and deployment workflows to improve speed, reliability, and observability.
Requirements

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of DevOps or build/release engineering experience.
  • Strong background in Azure DevOps CI/CD tools.
  • Expertise in Azure environments, including Azure VMs, IIS, SQL Server, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, and related networking/security.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and/or other automation languages.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in Azure (ARM, Bicep, or Terraform).
  • Deep understanding of SOC 2 compliance and secure deployment practices.
  • Hands-on experience with source control management (BitBucket, GitHub, or Azure DevOps).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience setting up environment secrets management (Azure Key Vault or similar).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Azure Kubernetes Service – AKS).
  • Background in automated testing and quality gates integration into pipelines.
  • Experience supporting multi-tier, cloud-native architectures.
