About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic, proactive Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of EPC projects in the water and wastewater sector, including Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), pumping systems, and automation projects.
The role is execution-oriented, requiring strong project coordination, vendor management, site interaction, and technical understanding across mechanical, electrical, civil, and instrumentation disciplines. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working between design teams, vendors, site teams, and clients, and be willing to travel frequently to project sites
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Plan, execute, and monitor EPC projects from design to commissioning.
- Define project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Track project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and as per specifications.
Technical Coordination (Multi-Disciplinary)
- Coordinate between mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
- Ensure proper integration of process equipment, piping/plumbing, electrical systems, automation & instrumentation.
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and vendor documents (basic design understanding required).
- Support preparation and review of shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-built documentation.
Vendor & Procurement Management
- Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Support procurement activities: technical evaluations, negotiations, delivery tracking.
- Ensure material quality and compliance with project specifications and standards.
Site Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and commissioning engineers.
- Monitor site execution activities and resolve execution-level technical issues.
- Participate in inspections, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Travel frequently to project sites as required.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare project status reports, progress updates, and risk assessments.
- Maintain project documentation: approvals, drawings, vendor data, site records.
- Act as a communication bridge between internal teams, vendors, and clients.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, schedule improvement, and constructability enhancements.
- Suggest process improvements in execution, coordination, and vendor management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering (Instrumentation or related fields also acceptable).
- 2–5 years of experience in project execution, EPC, or site coordination (water sector preferred).
- Basic understanding of water / wastewater projects, including WTP, STP, pumping systems, pipelines, electrical panels, automation, and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications (hands-on CAD expertise not mandatory).
- Proficiency in MS Office Tools
- Strong vendor coordination and follow-up skills.
- Good planning, organisation, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills – ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.
- Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced EPC environment.
Bonus / Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Water Treatment Plants, STPs, or Industrial Utilities.
- Experience with automation, instrumentation, or electrical systems in water projects.
- Familiarity with CPHEEO guidelines, government tenders, or public infrastructure projects.
- Site execution or commissioning experience.
