Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kozhikode for a Pipe Fitter. The Pipe Fitter will be responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems. Day-to-day tasks include cutting, threading, grooving, bending pipes, and utilizing various welding techniques such as TIG welding. The role also involves working with steam systems and other ship-related mechanical jobs.
Qualifications
- Skills in pipe fitting and pipe installation
- Experience with welding, including TIG welding
- Knowledge of steam systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Experience in the marine industry is a plus
- Relevant certification or vocational training in pipe fitting or welding is preferred
