This Job involves 50% site location work and 50% office location work

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and modify PLC programs using platforms like Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Delta Electronics for BESS and
  • solar applications.
  • Create, configure, and maintain HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens and SCADA systems for operator interaction and process
  • monitoring in BESS and solar plants.
  • Design control systems and logic diagrams for BESS plants and solar PV systems, ensuring robust logic development for energy
  • management and grid integration.
  • Program and optimize PLCs for BESS control, including battery management systems (BMS) and energy storage operations.
  • Configure PLCs for solar inverters and trackers to maximize energy output and system efficiency.
  • Test and debug PLC and SCADA code to ensure reliable operation of BESS, solar systems, and related machinery.
  • Support installation and commissioning of PLC and SCADA systems at BESS and solar plant sites or in-house.
  • Troubleshoot issues with PLCs, SCADA systems, sensors, solar inverters, and BESS components, leveraging strong problem-solving
  • skills.
  • Maintain documentation for programs, system configurations, and processes.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to enhance system efficiency, applying strong electrical understanding.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Diploma or bachelors in electrical engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or related field.
  • 2 years to 10+ years in PLC programming, SCADA development, or related automation roles, preferably with exposure to BESS or solar projects (internships/projects included).

SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text) for brands like Allen-Bradley (RSLogix), Siemens (TIA Portal),
  • Schneider Electric, Omron (CX-Programmer), or Delta Electronics (ISPSoft).
  • Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems development and configuration (e.g., Wonderware, FactoryTalk, WinCC, or Ignition).
  • Familiarity with BESS control systems, including battery management systems (BMS) and energy management systems (EMS).
  • Understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including inverters, trackers, and grid integration.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, CANopen) used in BESS and solar
  • applications.
  • Strong electrical understanding, including control circuits, power distribution, and instrumentation for renewable energy systems.
