Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer with a strong background in , Python, and AWS to join our innovative engineering team at Genesys. The ideal candidate will bring at least 8 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions that power intelligent customer experiences.

As a technical SME, you will own the full software development lifecycle — from architecture and design to implementation, testing, and deployment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our platforms remain reliable, performant, and cost-efficient while driving best practices in cloud-native development.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs using and Python.
• Cloud Architecture: Architect, build, and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS, leveraging services like Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, and CloudWatch.
• System Design & Scalability: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance systems.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices across code, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor team members, contribute to architecture decisions, and work closely with stakeholders across engineering and product teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, focused on backend systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in , NestJS) and Python (Flask, Django).
• Proven, hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture — deep understanding of compute, storage, database, and serverless services.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Experience with contact center reporting is an advantage.
• AWS Certification (Developer or Solutions Architect) preferred.
