Role Description

This is a contract-based hybrid role for a Junior GCP Administrator located in Pune, with flexibility for some remote work. The Junior GCP Administrator will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. Tasks include deploying and configuring cloud resources, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with security and operational best practices. The role may also involve creating automation scripts, managing cloud access permissions, and supporting the organization's cloud initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Google Cloud skills: Knowledge of GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and IAM.
  • System Administration skills: Experience with managing cloud-based infrastructure, handling backups, and performing routine maintenance.
  • Automation and Scripting skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate cloud operations.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting skills: Ability to use monitoring tools and troubleshoot cloud performance or connectivity issues.
  • Security and Compliance skills: Familiarity with GCP security best practices and ensuring adherence to organizational policies.
  • Communication and Collaboration skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively.
  • A keen willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • A relevant certification (e.g., Google Associate Cloud Engineer) is a plus.
