Job Summary:
The Shawarma Master is responsible for preparing, marinating, grilling, and assembling shawarmas while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, taste, and presentation. The role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and consistency in quality and portioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shawarma Preparation & Cooking
Prepare marinated meats (chicken, beef, or mutton) according to standard recipes.
Grill and rotate shawarma meat on skewers ensuring proper cooking temperature and taste.
Slice and assemble shawarmas, rolls, and plates as per customer orders.
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size.
- Hygiene & Food Safety
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards as per FSSAI/Company policies.
Ensure the work area, cutting boards, and utensils are clean and sanitized regularly.
Store raw and cooked items properly with correct labeling and temperature control.
- Stock & Inventory Management
Monitor daily stock levels of meat, sauces, and accompaniments.
Inform the outlet manager or storekeeper of material requirements in advance.
Minimize wastage through proper portion control and storage practices.
- Customer Service & Teamwork
Prepare orders quickly and accurately during peak hours.
Maintain friendly and professional communication with serving staff and customers.
Coordinate with kitchen helpers and other chefs for smooth workflow.
- Equipment Handling & Maintenance
Operate shawarma machines, grills, and cutters safely.
Clean and maintain cooking equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
Report any equipment malfunction or safety concern immediately to the manager.
Skills & Requirements:
Proven experience as a Shawarma Master / Cook in a restaurant or F&B outlet.
Good knowledge of Middle Eastern cooking techniques and ingredients.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
Strong sense of hygiene, discipline, and teamwork.
Basic communication skills in English or local language.
Educational Qualification:
Minimum SSLC / Plus Two or equivalent.
Diploma or Certification in Culinary / Cookery (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in shawarma preparation or grill section.
Working Hours:
As per outlet schedule (rotational shifts).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20, ₹30,000.00 per month
