Role Overview

Lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts to design and deliver AI/ML solutions that drive measurable business outcomes across pharma and healthcare domains.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership to execute enterprise-level AI/ML initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

Manage, mentor, and guide a team of data scientists across multiple concurrent projectsTroubleshoot the most complex data science issues and provide technical guidance

Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous learningBuild and scale the data science function aligned with business growth

Strategic ExecutionDrive AI/ML strategy and architecture design for enterprise-level initiatives

Oversee implementation of LLM, GenAI, and RAG-based automation solutionsEnsure compliance, scalability, and reproducibility of data science workflows

Translate strategic business needs into data-driven solutions through stakeholder engagement

Technical DeliveryDesign and deliver end-to-end AI/ML solutions from conception to productionImplement

MLOps best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance

Ensure data quality, model performance, and system reliabilityDrive innovation through exploration of emerging AI/ML trends and technologies

Technical Skills

Required Core Technologies

Programming & Data: Python, SQLML/DL Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorchGenAI Stack: LangChain, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Optimization frameworksMLOps & Cloud: MLOps tools,

Cloud AI platforms (AWS preferred, Azure, GCP)Experience with: Distributed systems, real-time analytics pipelines

Domain Expertise

Pharma Industry AI/ML model development and deploymentNatural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs)Predictive analytics and intelligent automation and Enterprise-scale data science architecture

Qualifications

EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field

Master's or PhD preferred

Experience6–10+ years of hands-on AI/ML experience2+ years in leadership or team management roles

Proven track record of delivering enterprise AI/ML solutions

Experience in pharma, healthcare, or biotech domains is a strong plus
