Overview

The Diamond Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of diamond inventory—from procurement and quality verification to stock management and inter-branch transfers. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in all inventory processes while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily diamond inventory across all stores and central stock points.

  • Procure diamonds at competitive rates, ensuring quality and certification standards are met.
  • Implement and monitor robust stock control systems to minimize discrepancies and shrinkage.
  • Develop a replenishment plan to ensure optimal stock levels across showrooms.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and certifying agencies for timely supply and verification.
  • Maintain detailed records of purchases, grading reports, returns, and inter-branch transfers.
  • Generate inventory and performance reports for management review.
  • Train and oversee staff handling diamonds on proper documentation, handling, and security procedures.

Qualifications

  • 5–12 years of experience in diamond purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management (jewellery industry preferred).
  • Strong understanding of diamond grading, certification, and pricing.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software/ERP systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Integrity and discretion in handling high-value assets.
